Esophageal Cancer Survivor Quilt
I used The Homebody Co.’s Survivor quilt pattern to create this quilt for a survivor of esophageal cancer.
Fabrics are all from Lamb and Loom Fabrics. Ribbons are Rifle Paper Co. Menagerie Champagne in periwinkle. Background is Art Gallery Fabrics solids in gentle feather. Backing is Rifle Paper Co. Wild Rose in blue.
Champagne Problems - Big Sky Star Quilt
I made this version of Plains and Pine’s Big Sky Star pattern while pattern testing.
I used a mix of Manchester yarn dyed metallic fabrics, and Rifle Paper Co. basics, and other wovens in navy, mint, and linen.
The sparkles and light colors remind me of the perfect glass of champagne, while the navy fabrics give it a nighttime feel. Also I was listening to Champagne Problems by TSwift on repeat while making this….
Neutral Knitted Star Quilt
Once again I’m here to tell you about how I fell in love with a quilt kit made by Lamb and Loom. Not long after Brittany of Lo and Behold released this Knitted Star quilt pattern, then I came across this GORGEOUS kit by Lamb and Loom. Obviously I bought it without hesitation and have absolutely zero regrets. The combination of subtle, neutral colors and metallic fabrics had me seeing (knitted) stars. Lamb and Loom is out of the kits, but they list the fabrics for this kit on this link.
My husband and I took a little winter holiday to Vermont to celebrate our one year anniversary. There was a winter storm the day before we got there which made for a beautiful winter wonderland. We BOTH (no I’m not joking) enjoyed driving around looking for some prime quilt photo locations. These are the gems resulting from that.
Brain Cancer Survivor Quilt
This quilt is extremely special to me. I used The Homebody Co.’s Survivor quilt pattern to create a brain cancer memorial quilt for my mom. In honor of my late father, Emmett Wells, the dark grey of the ribbons represent all those in the fight against brain cancer.
My father was a firefighter for Orange County Fire Authority in Orange County, California. When I was seven, he was diagnosed with a terminal brain cancer. We had three more wonderful years before cancer took him from us. Unfortunately, this is not a new or unique story. Firefighters have a 14% higher chance of dying from cancer than the general U.S. population, and cancer caused 70% of line-of-duty deaths for career firefighters in 2016. There are many firefighters and their families dealing with this fact right now.
Harry Potter Path Quilt
960 flying geese went into this Twin sized Path quilt! This was a lot of effort, but it was so worth it! I was a pattern tester for this stunning Path Quilt pattern by Raye of the Homebody Company. This is a great pattern for fabric collections as you can you so many different fabrics in a cohesive way. My Path quilt was made using a combination of wovens and cottons from Lamb and Loom Fabrics and Fabric Bubb. The specific fabrics are listed below, and the background fabric is Essex Linen in White.
I named each of my four blocks after Harry Potter terms. I did this mostly because I was listening to the audiobooks while sewing this, but also the warm colors reminded me of the HP world!
Grand Beach Quilt
I cannot tell you how much I love this quilt! I saw the kit from Lamb and Loom and knew I needed to make it!
The Grand Beach quilt pattern is by The Blanket Statement, and it comes together so quickly.
This quilt kit is made from Art Gallery Fabrics Pure Solids and is still offered by Lamb and Loom.
All Wrapped Up - Baby Quilt
This quilt was a custom order baby quilt.
The pattern is modified to baby size from Stacy Iest Hsu’s All Wrapped Up pattern.
The fabrics are from Lamb and Loom Fabrics. The background is Kona in white. The pinks are Water in Dusty Pink (Ghazel Razavi for FIGO), Pink Moonlit Voyage (Amy Van Luijk for FIGO), Shapes in Charm (Sarah Golden for Andover Fabrics), Petits Dots in Rose (Amy Sinibaldi for AGF), Blossomed (AGF solids), and Crystal Pink (AGF solids). The backing is Montrose Blossoms Creme from AGF.
Folklore Nestologie Quilt
I had barely finished the first Nestologie quilt before I was planning another. This quilt made use of the Nature Walk bundle from Fabric Stork and the scrappy Nestologie Quilt pattern, again by Fabric Stork and Sarah Made.
Fabrics are all Art Gallery Fabrics. Solids are (darkest to lightest) forest night, dried moss, smooth pebble, mink, toasty walnut, vanilla custard, and creme de la creme (background). Prints are Dot’s Green Thumb, Evelyn’s Green Thumb, and Unruly Terrace in Shade, all by Bonnie Christine for Art Gallery Fabrics.
Fall Feels Nestologie Quilt
I was THRILLED when Nuria of Fabric Stork and Sarah of Sarah Made asked me to be a pattern tester for their new pattern. This collaboration created the Nestologie Quilt pattern that releases August 31st! Fabric Stork is releasing it for free when you sign up for her newsletter on her brand new website!
Fabrics are Kona solids in Dresden blue (background), ice peach, carrot, celestial, and white. Backing is Wandering Doe in Blue by Bonnie Christine for Art Gallery Fabrics.
Olive Oil Mod Mountains
I can’t tell you how much I love this quilt! It’s one of my personal favorites, and I’m currently cuddled into it.
The pattern is Mod Mountains by Suzy Quilts. It’s a gem and everyone should make one.
The fabrics are from an Olive Oil bundle from Fabric Stork. Main prints (in my opinion) are Unruly Terrace in Earth by Bonnie Christine for AGF and She in Earth from Ruby Star Society. Unruly earth is probably one of my all time favorite fabrics and I used it as the backing fabric for this quilt.
Kayla’s Perennial Quilt
This quilt was made for my best friend using Suzy Quilts’ Perennial quilt pattern. This is such a fun pattern to make! Already plotting my next…
Fabrics are Bonnie Christine’s Open Road collection for Art Gallery Fabrics and Kona solid in Cream.
Christiana’s Novastar
This gorgeous pattern is the NovaStar pattern by Then Came June. It was made with Ruby Star Society and Spoonflower fabrics.
